Pierre Poilievre’s recreational vehicle stopped in Rivière-du-Loup on Saturday as part of a tour of Quebec. In front of nearly a hundred people, the leader of Canada’s Conservative Party outlined his priorities: solving the housing crisis and cutting taxes.

Pierre Poilievre emphasized the need to reduce government interventions and taxes for the benefit of the regions. We will give more money to rural municipalities in Quebec and less to big cities like Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.

In an interview, Pierre Poilievre also commented on the forest fire situation in the country, with fires burning in Eastern Quebec on the North Shore.
He believes provinces need to better coordinate their resources to fight fires, and he thinks the federal government needs to play a more active role. The Conservative leader promises that a potential Conservative government will be consistent with environmental protection.
Some citizens in Bas-Saint-Laurent reacted strongly to Pierre Poilievre’s promises of housing crisis, tax cuts for farmers and a ban on certain hunting weapons.

Pierre Poilievre is back on the road with his family in his recreational vehicle. On Sunday, the Conservative leader, his wife and their children will be in Charlevoix for the rest of the tour.
